Fairly convenient for m4
Very isolated. Middle of an industrial estate. Bathroom - the frosted glass door to the bathroom also acted as a door to the cupboard. Hence there was a large gap when the door was closed to the bathroom providing no privacy whatsoever with every sound heard! The washbasin was badly designed, the tap too close to the back and the front so wide that it was uncomfortable to use.
lack of food choice very basic
Found the hotel welcoming and staff friendly. The breakfast had a varied selection of food and very good. Comfortable room and decent sized bathroom.
very modern and clean. snack bar staff very slow and the buffet breakfast could have been better organised. I only stayed one night so it was ok for me, would be a problem staying longer
It was convenient for us to visit our friends
the air conditioning system is very noisy and when I turned it off the light on the console woke me up 3 times in the night as it was so bright against my eyelid.
Our room was very comfortable, clean and quiet. The staff were very helpful and attentive. The complimentary Breakfast was great. As we were travelling we found the location on this hotel very convenient and easy to find.
A nice very clean hotel. The staff were friendly it is a good hotel for the business person.
Cleanliness. Spacious room with good facilities The low cost
Although good wardrobe hanging space, there was no shelf space for clothes whatsoever!
The Hotel is consistent with it's facilities, and it is friendly and comfortable. By booking by' Booked.net' we were able to get a good price for our 4 day stay in a good hotel. It was also convenient for seeing family who live in Chepstow. The surrounding area is very pleasant and various towns are close by to visit.
Most people seem to use the hotel for short stays and the lounge and dining areas are often not used very much, other than at breakfast periods, and at other times it is not really a cosy/inviting area to stay in. The channels on the large screen tvs on the wall in this area are usually set by the staff and usually cannot be heard. Subtitles may therefore be a good idea if they are just on as low level background noise.
Very nice clean hotel, all staff very helpful, food excellent service very good, rooms very wellcoming.
Clean modern room with a comfy bed and friendly staff
My room (105) was next to the gym and could prove quite noisy when the gym was in use
Very clean and good value for money. Free internet in rooms- wake up other hotels! Quiet despite being next to M4.
Although situated just off the m4, it offers a haven of peace and quiet. There is a very large car park with the most disabled spaces I have seen in a chain hotel!. The room was much better than some hotels we have paid double for, offering a sofa bed for another adult or 2 children, a good work surface and chair and free wifi that actually worked!. There was ample shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, hand wash and hand cream in dispensers and best of all, 2 very large bath sheets in the well appointed bathroom. Breakfast was included and not the scrum experienced in the previous hotel we stayed in. Hot dishes of egg, bacon, sausage and hash browns were complimented by the usual cereal, fruit etc. The coffee was excellent, bread fresh and yoghurts were in a chiller fridge. The staff were professional, helpful and smart, making checking in and out very easy.
IMy dislikes are small - looking for issues which rather than major ones. The door to the bathroom is a sliding one, which also serves as the door to the wardrobe. It is made of opaque glass and heavy. After my shower, without my glasses I walked into it as it was indistinquishable from the wall. It need a design on it to identify it. It doesnt fit snuggly and allows smells to permeate into the room as the fans are not over efficient. We stayed over a bank holiday and the pastries were stale, not necessary with ready to bake or frozen ones.
bigger plates for breakfast would be good.
Standard of room furniture. Cleanliness of rooms. Price. Professional approach of staff. No quibble 100% satisfacton guarantee or money back offer
Nothing of impotance
